The club meets every Thursday at 7:30am in Room S112.

Activities

During the fall and spring students work to pick up trash around the community including, Bacon Creek, Sertoma Park, Stone Park and other areas around the Sioux City area. Frequently, students also pick up the East High Campus. Every year, a school-wide clean up is organized the week of Earth Day.

The club raises funds through bake sales on campus to help pay for cleaning supplies and spread awareness on the importance of taking care of our Earth.

Every summer the club plants flowers in the planters in front of East High to welcome incoming students in fall.

How It Began

The group was started by Grace Hildahl, Paige Hanson and Taylor Copple in 2017. These students served as co-presidents in the inaugural year.

Kristina Ly and Hannah Breyfogle served as co-presidents in 2018-2019 and Sydney Coghlan, Karlee Phillips and Abby Hogan served at co-presidents 2019-2020.
